Isn't that awesome? I think that's awesome. You should too.
"It's a first, which always interests me," stated Gervais. "It was shot in New York, and I got to wear a tight Lycra suit as part of the digital process. That wasn't so good. Unfortunately they captured the whole horror, except I look slightly tougher.

The Intel 'Skulltrail' motherboard (AKA Intel Dual Socket Extreme Platform--*sigh* ) debuted at GDC today to much fanfare and wailing of wallets. The motherboard supports 2 quad-core processors, dual graphics cards (of both the ATI and nVidia varieties,) has a 400MHz frontside bus and will retail for an eye-watering $649. MS buying Epic? Not so fast, says Mark Rein |

Reacting to a GamePro editorial speculating that Microsoft could purchase Epic Games for $1 billion, the studio's VP, Mark Rein, had this to say:
quote: "I have not seen the actual GamePro article but if they're going to make predictions about us selling Epic we would prefer if they started at $2 billion," he said. "Because we don't want anyone thinking that we're cheap. "

Spore Media Blowout |

Following yesterday's announcement of the release date, EA has officially kicked off the media campaign for Will Wright's new game, Spore. Rather than link everything here, I'll just send you over to Joystiq.
Among the highlights, there will be a special "Creature Editor" pack that will be released before the game ships, though price and date were not revealed. And Kotaku reports that Europe will get Spore two days earlier than everyone else.

Electronic Arts has wasted no time in putting it's newly-acquired studio BioWare to work, announcing that it will bring the game to PCs this May:
quote: “EA has struck an agreement with Microsoft to handle future publishing for Mass Effect. We are looking forward to releasing Mass Effect on the PC this Spring and brand new titles in the future,” said EA Games president Frank Gibeau in a statement.
The PC version of the game will feature enhanced graphics, a reworked UI and a redesigned decryption minigame.

Coming off a record-breaking year in which they became the number-one game publisher on the planet, Activision, Inc. held a conference call last week to announce their upcoming games for Fiscal Year 2009 (which begins April 1, 200 .
Leading the charge will be new titles in the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero franchises, followed up by a James Bond: The Quantum of Solace movie tie-in and sequels in their Spider-Man and Marvel Ultimate Alliance franchises.
