Improving my drumming skills even more?

Heya!
I want a good site with good drum lessons (everything from basic to expert), good tips and advices, notes, sound samples etc...

I only get 30 minutes at the Music School a week, and directly after that, we rehearse for this stupid musical in school so I pretty much forget everything my drummer-teacher taught me the hour before. Really annoying.

I am mostly selflearned but I am running out of ideas and the passion is also fading away because I don't learn new techniques often anymore.

*ventures out of the GTF*

In terms of websites with drum lessons etc on them... I really don't have any. It's been a long time since I've been in my woodshed days of practicing.

However - in terms of exposure to different type of music and lessons within those - you can't go wrong with a subscription to Modern Drummer.

*tries to remember some of the books I used to work out of

Stick Control - great for getting your hands in shape. it's all various sticking excercises, from alternating strokes (hyper basic) to some absolutely disfunctional patterns. If you have a weak hand (as most drummers tend to), working with this book WITH A METRONOME can help strengthen it. The payoff on the drum set - you an be a lot more creative with your beats.

Advanced techniques for the Modern Drummer (I think that's the name) - teaches 4 way independance. it's all based on a swing or shuffle ride pattern, and really will kick your ass into shape if you stay with it. I at one time could do the whole book... unfortunately - that's been a while.

www.vicfirth.com is a great site with tons of drumming info (good for practicing rudiments). Sure, reading up on stuff helps, but practice alot with a metronome and you'll get better.

Other then occasionally googling the occasional drum tab If i can't figure it out from listening to a song, I just download music with good drumming in them andp lay along, figuring stuff out as I go
