Payback is a bitch. PRS was trying the same tactics a few years back with guitar makers that were putting the bird inlays on their necks, suing companies that made guitars that 'look' like a PRS and even threatening EBay with lawsuits for allowing auctions involving those guitars.
0wned PRS, maker of overpriced nu-metal guitars.

But do they have the money PRS does? 
I don't think there are any significant Les Paul copies out there that I have seen that would affect LP sales in any way.
It's a BS argument in a way though. They say people will be 'confused' and think the PRS Singlecut is a LP. Well, I think most people dropping the amount of cash required for either guitar can tell the fucking difference.
