Ping: Anyone looking for a POD..(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Looking to part with it cause I'm moving up to a flextone 3. Seemed to remember someone in here was moving to college and required a good modelling unit.
For anyone off T.com, I'll let you have it all for 140 quid. Details on the unit itself here;

FlexIII, eh? They are suppose to have a software update out for it any day now to fix a few annoyances, re-work some of the sims and add a new amp (I think a a TSL or DSL). I had one rented for a month and it was alot of fun with some great sounds. The JCM800 is superior on the POD2, but the vintage stuff on the III is MUCH better than the POD2. The Plexi is godlike on the FlexIII. The cleans are fantastic. I wasn't *that* crazy about the Rectifier sims on the FlexIII but I think the Line 6 Insane is better than the one on the POD2. There have been mixed results for live use from what I have read. But this is like any piece of equipment where people expect all their tones to sound the same at 2 in the bedroom and 7 at a gig. Of course, it is also one of the reasons the argument that "solid state sucks" exists.
One thing you might want to look at it is a Vetta I. The software can be upgraded for FREE to a Vetta II which is an absolutely FANTASTIC amp. You see the Vetta I's on Ebay and if one can be had for cheap, you should look at it and remember it can be upgraded to a Vetta II for free. A 'cheap' Vetta I used will still be more than the FlexIII new, but just an FYI. And the Vetta II is a KILLER amp.

yeah, that person was me Reck, and i'd buy it off ya but i'm not gonna spend more than £100 on whatever i get i'm afraid - i agree with Alexo on the Vetta - its an awesome amp

Oh and I think I have some short sound clips of the FlexIII I recorded when I had it if you are interested.

Must you always dangle twice as FANTASTIK and expensive bits of equipment in front of me when I'm in teh market.

Man the Vetta looks awesome. There's not a single one going second hand in teh UK, that I can find anyway. Looks like it'd have to be another import jobbie but I'm not sure how the different power ratings affect digital amps.. I know they can be bad for tubes.
The duoverb looks pretty sweet too.. Kinda pales in comparison to the Vetta though.
Bah, I was fighting for this POD on eBay a couple months ago, now nobody wants 'em.
[edit] Yes please Lexo..
