I'm looking for a site that give very simple Flash tut's and examples for me to play with. I've got Flash MX and have gone through a couple of their tutorials - but I can see I will be needing a lot more assistance in this :\ TIA!

For a very user friendly way of making flash, check out a prog called Swish.

Where's the  smilie?? Thanks for the additional link, 2tall. Looks like something that will be very helpful for me to learn how to do things.

Catz, I have Flash MX - Swish would be redundant?

In any case, I'm really having fun trying to learn how to do Action Scipt and so on.

Well, for me at least, I found it much easier to make things in Swish. Just more user friendly.

Is the coding the same between Flash and Swish? I remember using Swish and liking it. I just never got to buying it

You know, I can't say. It'd be like me trying to tell you the difference between two cars having only driven one of them.

For me, I have to keep things very very simple. If the learning curve is too great, I fall off and hurt myself.

lol - that's where I am right now. I never learned this type of programming (I'm of the old stuff like assembly or pascal) and I never really got into Photoshop either. So it's like learning two/three things at once. I did a tutorial in four hours - it said it would take one hour. And it still didn't work when I finished I should be embarassed but I find it funny.

Basically, to do text animation in flash, it requires alot of programming. Swish has certain flash text animations preprogrammed so you dont' have to go through the hassle of doing things from scratch. Its a simple interface to produce text animation without alot of time/skill requried. It saves the file in a swf format too which is what flash uses. It can be imported to flash as well.
