Walking in space (how to fix?).

I'm making a space level for UT 2004, and there are a few spots on the level where players can walk around in space without falling to their deaths.

I've set up some falling zones to try and at least kill players when they get to the trouble areas, but this has only been partially successful so far.

What would cause this, and what would fix it?

Never mind, I fixed it; the problem was being caused by a jump pad, so I took out the JP and everything works now.

Sounds a bit crazy that a jump pad could cause those problems but you got it fixed so

Bots would look like they were walking down an invisible ramp when they went from a catwalk down to the jump pad; the whole side of the level the jump pad was on was screwy.

Taking it out didn't hurt anything, as it wasn't really crucial to moving around the level.

...but there is something severely wrong with the latest iteration of the engine if adding a jump pad can mess up gravity in half your map.
