ME!!

When I look down in 1st person view I actually see:
-Hands
-Arms
-Legs
-Feet

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this one of the first 1st person games to incorporate rendering the character's body from the inside, so-to-speak?
I know Morrowind does this to a limited extent but still you only see your arms, the rest of the body isn't rendered.
Traditionally there hasn't been body rendering in 1st person which gave the impression that your point of view was just an "eye" floating above the ground.
Now I look down and actually see the rest of me, about damn time!
Are there any other games where the designers have done this?
The neck-swivel adds to the realism a lot too! I can look down in 1st person view and pan left and right and see my head (and view) look left and right but the body stays in one spot until you turn enough to make the entire body turn. No more neck-brace!
I was playing Thief the other day and now playing the T3 demo I am really appriciating where they have gone with the series. I can't wait to pick-up the full version!

Operation Flashpoint did something similar, IIRC.
I think Thief's one of the first games to incorporate what they call body awareness. Your camera is actually attached to Garret's head and all of your movements actually make the model move. It's really neat and a lot more immersive.

Arx Fatalis did that too.
Oh, btw: MMMMMONSTER-BUMP
