I bought a new camcorder over the weekend (Sony ZR85) and I'm going to start shooting home movies of my son. I will need to get me a DVD burner so I can put them to disk. So, I'm here to get some recomendations from my buds at T-com on which one to get. I don't really care how much it cost's as long as it's under $300 US. I did some research, not alot, and I thought Plextor brand was pretty decent. What do you guy's think. What about LightOn or Sony. The software I will be using is going to be Screenblast Movie Studio. I just can't see spending $700 for Vegas 5 software. Atleast not yet. I to new to this movie making stuff. So anyway any feed back you can give me will help. Thanks.

well if you are looking for a DVD burner just remember to buy one that burns DVD-R ... that will work on most TV top DVD players. and they are all in about the same so look for a good price and you will be great ... Asus haves a great burner .. i switched to them about a year and a half ago and i will never go back to anyone but asus..
