Win XP - Quick Launch section in Task Bar...(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

If I click on an icon, it does take me to the correct application. But when I roll my mouse over it, the rollover message does not match the correct app. It's off by one, sometimes to the left and sometimes to the right.
The only quirky thing that happened to me recently was, I installed the Quick Time plug-in for my Netscape 7.1 browser. It created some icons in my Quick Launch bar (Quick Time and i-tunes), so I right-clicked and deleted them.
Anyone else experience this problem?

Never had that problem.
You could check the quicklaunch bars folder where all the shortcuts actually reside.
It is usually here:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
And see if there is nothing weird in there?

I checked that folder you mentioned, nothing weird there. Another symptom: when I roll my mouse over an icon in the Quick Launch bar, the CSS is messed up: sometimes I get an extra black rectangle on the side of the rollover message. So the width of the rectangle does not match the size of the label.

Long shot, but on my dad's PC (winxp+nvidia 440 w/oldish drivers) running the GUI FAH client or the screensaver result in display screwage, including misplaced tooltips, black rectangles in the tooltips, and tooltips sinking behind the status bar. With the GUI client this only happens if the display windows is open - running minimized is fine. It doesn't happen on my PC which has a different video card, so maybe it is a driver issue.

I'm running the F@H GUI client as well. I'll check my machines at work to see if they have the same bug, thx.

Just to follow up:
When I booted my machine this evening, the mouse rollovers in the Quick Launch bar were fine. But after I clicked on the F@H icon in the Task Bar, I got the bug.

Happens to me as well. I just exit folding and reopen it to fix the issue. only seems to happen if I open the gui window. if i leave it in the system tryay I get no problems.
