Why Am I Not On The Team Page?(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've had F@H running whenever the computer is on since at least 2 weeks ago, and I'm still not on the team stats site.

how many total hours would you estimate? My laptop is still working on its first WU.

Is it returned? Expired? Hard to tell without the log. Post the fahlog.

As mentioned, the log tells all. You may have a huge WU that needs a lot of time to complete or it may have expired. You need to do a little poking about the different sites to learn the hows and whys of Folding. One important parameter seems to be to Fold 24/7 or you may never get a WU done.
Your log should tell you what percentage you have completed and this website will tell you how many days you have to complete each Work Unit.

Well my dad is hell bent on having the computer shut off when nobody is sitting at it, so I guess it's pointless for me...

Not necessarrily, if we can see your log and have an idea how long you are running the box.
As for off and on with a PC. That is a different matter as some feel it is bad for the PC having the voltage spikes. Sort of like when do the light bulbs blow usually? When one turns them on, pop.
Anyway, how far are you through the WU and which WU are you Folding? There is a log file in your Folding directory which will tell us what is going on.

It's perfectly safe to leave a computer on all day. They're designed for it, and like Searcher says, it takes more energy to boot up a computer than anything else.

Do you really notice it? I don't, but then I live in rain sodden England.

The summer can be pretty vicious here. And I'm in a concrete building.

NP...
We are certainly not going to argue with dad are we?
You seem to have a fast enough box that you can meet the deadlines and that is the important aspect. Be on the team and do what you can at this time.
I will keep you, bazie and Magma on the "special" list so you don't lose you stars because of slow machines.
