OK, my P3 laptop just finished its tinker, it's the same problem I'm having with my P4 desktop:

Both were working on the p1110_blah_blah WU, and I noticed that Stanford had not updated my points count. Here's the log in its entirety, including getting a new WU to work on:

and I noticed that Stanford has removed p1110 from its project summary list:

http://vspx27.stanford.edu/psummary.html

anyways, I posted on the official folding forum. Seems there's a problem with servers .119 and .120.

Grr.... that was 480 pts....

I'm having a Montroursh Mood Swing!

Posted by: ArcticRaider

I see they are on it.

Posted by: smeerkat

If I lose 480 pts, I will go ballistic. The P3 laptop took 7 days to crank out 1 WU.

Posted by: ArcticRaider

I'm sure it will be fine. I have had WUs wait in queue for 2 days before getting them sent. As long as they are in the work folder they are safe. The client will send them back when the servers get online again.

/me takes a Valium...

Oi, .120 is online again. Try restart the client. That will send the unit.

do I have to restart the client? I've got 3 machines at work, and it's the weekend.

No, not really. Restarting is just quicker as the client will send any finished units upon startup. The client autosends every 6 hr anyway. For all you know they are allready sent by now.

Yes, on the PC it's running on. Monitor your Stanford stats. That's the best bet until you can check those PCs.

My stupid Norton Firewall. I wasted a half day today, it blocked my (outgoing) access to Stanford even though I had set it for "Permit All". This was on my fastest machine.

edit: one of my two WU's has been sent to Stanford. I'll have to wait til Monday to check the other machine. I expect a third machine to finish p1110 this afternoon (in about 8 hours).
