Joint Ops(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Joint Ops , as you may have read elsewhere, is essentially a modern-day Battlefield 1942. However, it is on a MUCH larger scale, and has a lot of differences in the overall design.
Servers can hold up to 150 people, and with a fast rig and a fast connection, this is extremely playable. I have had no troubles sniping with a 150 person server, and firing from vehicles works great too. Much better than it ever did in BF.
There are 4 game modes, but I have only played 2 so far. They are TDM, Co-op, KoTH, and AAS (Advance and Secure).
AAS is the most prevalent, and is basically like Conquest in BF. However, most points don't seem to spawn extra vehicles, so you are encouraged to bring them forward from base. You will find that most people will wait to at least partially load up a vehicle before taking off. That is partly because the driver doesn't often get to shoot, and partly because the primary focus of the vehicles is to get you to the action, not to fight with them.
It is VERY cool to see a chopper come down near the water and a bunch of troops dismount. The water circles around and sprays, just like a Vietnam movie.
It's late so I will sum up quickly with pros and cons IMO:
PROS
----------
HUGE maps
Day and Night cycles while you play
Fun, easy to drive vehicles
Great graphics
150 players!
Interesting game design
CONS
------------
Dying when you just humped a kilometer can really suck.
Poor teamwork at this point
Commander interface generally not used on pubs.
When zoomed in at great distances, you can see terrain without foliage, making prone snipers totally visible.

It is extremely cool. Since writing my little review I have tried all the game modes. TDM is the most pointless, and everyone understands how that works anyway.
Kin of the Hill is a blast. The middle of the map is defined as the "hill", and everyone tries to get into it. The team with the most people in there gets the most points. In this game mode, I prefer to play as a medic. If someone gets shot, you can revive him so that he doesn't have to respawn, making it easier for your team to keep getting points. You also get credit for a medic save, so that is cool too.
Co-op is great on a LAN, and has a definite Rainbow Six in the jungle feel. The enemies are your standard eagle-eyed retards though, so don't expect Unreal Tournament bot action.
