Anyone has had this browser hijack? My brother's computer is infected with it and I've used any good scanning softwere there is, spybot s&d, adaware, cwshredder and hijackthis. No go  I have no idea what else to do. I run these, immunise, use spywareblast...as soon as I reboot it's back. I'm going home now, I'm frustrated. If any of you knows what to do please let me know.

only usefull when you have a symantec based AV program, but if you look it up at the site of your AV program maybe it can help too.

Yes he has NAV but the program doesn't show up in the software add/remove section  I was looking there...
I'm getting really pissed off with them, it's the second time in my family that they have this cr*p on their computer  Are there any legal steps one can take?

Did you try Spysweeper? I cleaned this off a PC at work once, and I think that SS worked. It was a while ago though, so I'm a little foggy. It might have also took a little registry cleaning as well.
Perhaps also try disabling NAV and running Trend's online scanner after running SpySweeper.

thanks Alexo, I'll try that when I get there next time... my mum had it too, I formated but that's always at least half a day's work  and I always forget to back up stuff, so I'd rather not.

hey Astryd if you want to get rid of the My Search bar just go to control panel -> add/remove programs and remove it there
