Why is our progress line going down?

Have we lost active members or something?

Posted by: TK Doom

Cause we keep getting wimpy projects?

I have the same puters doing the same thing all the time, but my production is down.

I'm driving to Del Mar to find out if someone screwed with my computer there.

Posted by: Ritsui

I think it starting going down just a day or so after TK Doom stopped adding a new computer every day

Seriously, don't know. Maybe the servers just aren't accepting work units as quickly right now?

Posted by: TK Doom

Every computer I added still works.

But the P3 500 at my Dad's house keeps locking up (the F@H). It has yet to process a task.

The P2 I got going thanks to Jason's NIC is kicking out units.

It won't go down today .

Hehe
Way to scare the teams above us.

BTW, I'm going away a couple of weeks and have to turn off my PCs. Sorry guys.

TcomDork on steroids?

http://folding.extremeoverclocking....y.php?s=&t=1328

what's up with that?

I saved up units which were nearly completed, for a few days , then let them all complete and send between two stats updates.

It's a very silly thing to do, but I'm on a mission to see my name in red +.

Posted by: smeerkat

Well, despite your best efforts our progress line is still going down.

Posted by: RandBlade

Funny to see that again Dork, that beats last time you did it doesn't it?

We have 75 listed as active as per Overclockers.

We have 90 listed with "stars".

We have 4 listed on the "special" list which means they have slow machines or can't run 24/7 but do send in a WU about every 8 to 10 days.

That leaves 11 that I need to check on to see when they were last active.

I may send out a query to all Folders and ask if any more need to be added to the "special" list. If not we are going to have to drop some stars.

I may also switch a box over to all Tinkers and see if that helps but I now hear that some of the new Tinkers are worse than the Gromacs...

Posted by: TK Doom

All I know is I should be blue in the user list, and I'm not.

Glad to see it finally arrived.

Posted by: Jason

I'm folding on 2/4 machines.

I don't know how well it will run on my P2 266 , I should give it a shot though.

I also could have it running on my other laptop which is 2.6 Ghz, but it's hardly ever on.

I only have it running on my main machine, which is 1.6 Ghz and my other laptop which is only 1.4. :/ They're both on 24/7.

Posted by: bazie

the numbers are worse then that searcher....cause for instance I am on the special list, but currently registered as an active cause I processed a unit recently

So there are a bunch of people with stars that don't deserve it

I wasn't in any hurry.

It does approx one unit a day...

It would've beaten last time by a lot more if server 120 was working.
It's been down for at least 3 days already, and I've got 7 units for it.

Posted by: Twisties

Sorry, I've been off line for about a week, but one unit is completed and another one should be completeted tomorrow.

I need broadband *sigh*

Posted by: Dork

Regarding the drop off, at least it isn't only us. Checkout Alliance Francophone (They have most active users so are likely the best balance for different cpu types/speeds/etc.):

intresting... Well I wonder if they have changed the points again for some stuff.. or if they are having problems receiving the finished work units.

I only have a PIII 850 and a PII 450 xeon going right now. The 850 is my test computer at work and the 450 I'm using for a webserver and file server so it's running. My home computer has no internet right now because I just moved to a new place and don't even have a phone line yet and my work laptop's hard drive just decided to start giving reading errors so I have yet to replace it. Ah well. at least I can check the internet from work!

3..2..1. FOLDING. Folding, it's the reason. It's the moment when everything happens....lalal lalalal alla la

K, I'll place ya on the "special" list.

Thanks for the info!

Nope, do you need to be placed on it?

Posted by: Unbeliever

Been working full time at my part time job since I finished Uni, sometimes i dont have time to put the pc on in the morning.

Posted by: smeerkat

Most of my machines are working on Tinkers now.

/me does the happy dance

Posted by: Twisties

I might, my machine is fast enough but I'm on a dial up connection and only connect every couple of days. So sometimes work packets are delayed.

Back again v2.0.

My ISP has had a seizure and I have been without internet for the last 48 hr, thus not being able to upload the finished WUs and receive new ones.

Bad ISP!

Posted by: Rurouni Storm

I haven't been able to upload finished tinkers in over a week. 3 or 4 here still waiting and it won't grab a new one.

Are you posting from a "Folding box"?

If so you should be able, at least, to get new WU's, that is if Stanfords receive servers are down, which does happen but not as often as a year ago.
