speaker issues

I recently purchased the Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 speaker set. Almost immediately I noticed a problem - randomly (both in timing and duration) the right front satelite would 'chatter.' That is, emitt a rapid series of high pitched noises that you could easily miss. . . but once you hear them they are insanely annoying. I have tried changing the speaker wire, running the wire different routes, changing satelites, even taking the whole set back and getting a new one and the problem persists. I have occasionally heard the same chatter on other satelite, but it is always loudest on the front right channel. Only thing I can think of is that there is some kinda voltage fluctation in the house current or with some of the other electronics nearby (computer, printer, etc). The chatter occurs when there is input to the speakers through my computer's headphone jack (internal sound card on laptop), my audigy 2 nx external soundcard, or my mp3 player through the line in on the speakers. I guess my next move should be to move the whole setup somewhere away from all possible sources of interference and try that..... Any ideas before I have to do all that work though?

Wow, that is very strange. Does it happen at all volumes?

yep, all volumes. i've also put the left sat beside the right sat and listened and the right one chatters where the left doesn't. the only think i think think of is internal circuitry that's being affected by some voltage fluctuation or other device, and that happens to affect one channel more than the other. very odd though.
