I'd like to propose a suggestion, along the lines of 'subscription' for Book club news etc.
I would be willing to manage a list of people, who could 'opt-in' to be informed by PM about Book Club news, IE - the current Book club read, and due date etc.
I think that since people are busy with RL stuff, it might be more efficient to be informed of book club news by PM when you visited Tcom.
Another alternative is for me to manage a simple web-page, with the current book club news, due by date, recommendations etc. I don't want to detract from the functionality of this forum, so it would simply be like a permanent 'sticky' that could be linked from the top of the forum (like in the GTF for example).
Thoughts, comments, objections? Let me have them

OK, I've added xoshade and Witchy to my inform list.
I made a web page to inform people of the Book Club current read. It's only for information and isn't intended to be an 'all singing, all dancing' website 
I could possibly add links to previous review threads on the forum, once we've been up and running for a while.

Great idea, Tut. You can probably get a nice CGI or PHP script that would make the news update/emailing easier.
