Which of the three?... About 2-3 hours per each. If you are familiar with the original SIMs building editor, it will be easy to pick up. The foundation and new roof editor are the only really new things there.
BTW, I cheat... all of these houses are from plans books that builders get for new ideas.

Good work MadMike!
I suck at building houses from scratch. So you can make the houses and I'll make the clothing.
Here is my first attempt at skinning clothes. This piece isn't complete, yet. So I am not uploading it, yet.

The marriage counseler!
Please, go look at the lots I've posted and give them ratings... Maxis is going to delete unrated files at the end of the month, they were overwhelmed withuploads and need to prune.

I love this house. It's perfect for my growing Sim family. I can still fit everything I could possibly need on the first floor, which I really like. I'm decorating it in a Peaches N' Cream color scheme. I'm going to build a gazebo in the backyard. I downloaded all your other houses that weren't archived, but I haven't used them yet.
I had my family living in one of the houses that was already there. The one with the gazebo in the back, and the house had kind of a round section coming off one of the corners. That house was a nightmare. It was big, but somehow I still needed to use all three levels so my Sims were all over the place and I couldn't keep track of them and their guests. Plus, I swear maxis was playing a sick joke arranging all the shrubs backwards and some were in places impossible to get to. Grrr! The gardener came over and kept yelling and yelling cause he couldn't do his job.

I've moved a couple into that house, and have only put a bathroom upstairs...

Hehehe, I put so much into it, I think it's too much. The game runs so slow with all those objects and stuff. I've got one and a half bathrooms downstairs, a living/dining room, the kitchen, a nursery with two cribs, a children's bedroom with two beds and all the toys you could possibly want, plus the master bedroom. Outside I have extensive gardens, a gazebo, a pond, lots of trees, and a fence in front of the property. Upstairs, I have two more bedrooms, a bathroom and the hallway is party space with neon lights, a juice bar, a couch and a stereo.
I think I better go through and get rid of what I don't need right now because it slows down my game really bad.
My Sims had twins and can't keep up as it is without being slowed down by all that junk.
