I try to use it but I just can't get the hang of it. Same for making parts with the body shop. Have you made anything so far?

Actually, I have.....
Quick tut; When you look at the floor/wall sections, one of the icons at the bottom is 'create new' - open it and note the size of the template.
256x256 for floors, 256x512 for walls. Both are true color forms, so detail and color can be quite subtle.
Create a new wall or floor... (cheat, look up Armstrong or Corlan in google and swipe teh patterns for a floor  ) once done, save in 'your documents/ea games/projects/homecrafter 2/floors/' as a .bmp file. Open the Homecrafter and select floors, select 'create new' and open the file you created.
I'm almost done with a package of wash-stained cedar bevel siding in six colors... Also have a floor package in the works.
