i will try to get ahold of a copy.

I started it last night and I must say, am finding it extremely difficult to read. I don't like her style of writing. There are lots of three word sentences - a few that don't make sense at all. Even after re-reading them several times. I'm afraid that if the whole book is like this, I don't think I'll be able to stick with it This is a bit scary, since I've never had this problem with anything I've read before.
Anyone else find this or is it just me?

Oh yeah, me too. Bad grammer drives me bonkers. I got about a fouth of the way through before I started to get used to it. But even still, and I'm almost finished, I have to reread sentences.

ehhe, no reading at all!
Does it have newfie doggies in it?

Well, I'm afraid I couldn't cut it. It was a chore to read and not enjoyable so I didn't persevere like Thuri
I read Digital Fortress instead

I didn't get through all of it either. I didn't enjoy it at all. The main character is not someone that I can identify or sympathize with. It was also really disgusting and morbid. Everyone in the whole town gets off on reading about child molestation and car accidents. :shudder: And what's up with the aunt wanting to go back there? She obviously hated her childhood. It was just a weird book and I don't understand how it's supposed to be so great it got an award and got made into a movie.

I just got this book. Are we still reading it?

Posted by: Khiori
Finally finished it. It took me a couple weeks, which is actually quicker than I read most books. Did anyone else make it all the way through?
Spoiler: I laughed my head off when Sunshine (was it Sunshine? or Bunny?) kept staring at Jack waiting for him to "wake up". Then he did |

Um. So ... this has been the "important" tagged Club read for like over a year ... does that mean it's still the club selection?
Is the moderator even around anymore?
