i have to go to the dentist tuesday.

well I don't have to actually.. i know the tooth is bad and needs a new filling, however, it doesn't actually hurt... I just thought of going now cause I'll have trouble finding time when the school starts..

on the other hand, i'm so lazy to get up in the morning (i usually get up at about 1-2pm, for the whole last two weeks), that i might just not go as well

when it gets a bit more serious, i'll have no other option than going then...

aside from that, i'm not really that scared of dentists...anymore i was until i was about 16.. since then I got a great dentist, a real funny guy, always telling me jokes.. so i ask him to give me local anesthesis, and then just wait till he's finished..

the anasthesia is it a spray or an injection? 'cos people told me the spary doesn't work all that well, and i have a phobia about needels. i never had anything serious enough to require anesthesis. only minor cavities. but this one's kinda close to my gums.

of course an injection... i don't believe that spray would work good enough..
anyway, i don't like the actual injection as well, however, just think of it like this, compared to what the pain of the drilling can be, the injection is in fact a lesser evil.. at least for me..

so i stand this one little needle, which in fact lasts for about two seconds (the pain), and then it starts working for the injection itself, in few minutes half of my mouth isn't feeling anything and the doc can do whatever he needs to..

oh yeah, and i really decided not to go tomorrow, i really don't feel like waking up so early for something i do not enjoy i mean, it's my holiday right? i wanna enjoy it as much as i can

[edit]
oh yeah and P.S. : i get this anesthesia every time, even with minor cavities... i just simpy require it, cause quite frankly, i'm terrified of the drilling.. the doc hasn't done anything with drilling in my mouth without the anesthesia ever since i was like 15 or something... so you got your phobia about needles, i have a phobia about the actual drilling hurts as hell, at least to me..

Posted by: Psyko149

i share your phobia about drilling too. so i decided that i postponed the dentist for too long (i didn't go then) and i'll try out the anasthesia.

Posted by: B.R.Denton

yeah, i'll be postponing it for few months i guess

if i'll make it thru the whole semester without pain from the tooth, i guess i'll have it fixed for the summer..

other than that, i have no need to go there

oh yeah and do try the injection.. although it is a strange feeling for the rest of the day, having half of your mouth "dead", i still prefer it to actual drilling in the live tooth

Posted by: Psyko149

i have chosen: the injection. the pure sight of the drill scaes me. i have a long history with dentists: chipped teeth, but only about 4-5 cavities. so. i chose--monday. so i don't ruin my weekend.

oh shit! plz don't remind me. I'm not afraid of the dentist. I just don't fell like moving my fat ass.

Posted by: oldgrrl

ugh. dentists. i'm going to have to go soon me fears. starting to get an ache in one tooth that comes and goes and its likely not going to be long before it comes and stays.

doesn't your dentist use that little swab that temporarily deadens the area before giving you the shot? you still feel the needle, but it doesn't really hurt.

Posted by: B.R.Denton

well, tomorrow i can't go, but those teeth are starting to hurt sometimes, i guess that the next monday after tomorrow will be mandatory for me.. damn, i hate waking up early just cause of going to the doctor's :/

Posted by: Psyko149

well, ya. but as it is, i only feel the needle for about 2-3 seconds

don't worry. same thing here.

and i have applied physics class every saturday from 8AM. and i don't really have to take that calss, but still i go. why?

i have no idea. still. you never know when you might neen to use knowledge about how to derail a train, or .... well that's a lot of physics. and the best thing is they show us cool experiments, and computer simulated thingies. that makes it allo worth the lack of sleep...almost.

yes i am insane

no i am not going to derail a train

yes i am going to use other skills i learned from applied physics class.

oh well, i'm going to the dentist's tomorrow, probably for sure this time looks like i don't have much of a choice, the silly tooth comes back with the pain more and more often, and i really don't like it :\

i took care of mine, thank god.

got myself a new keyboard. the old one was retired due to abuse of coke and cake crums. it was a good keyboard. but i love the new one. it's confortable, it's new, it has 0 coke and o crumbs in it and....it's basicly new and a pleasure to type....

i'll probably post a pic as soon as o get a new cam.

one of my friends sat on the old one, after forsaken did it first. good thing forsakn isn't heavy. still the other guy was...and the camera felt it ...

well I almost forgot to say this..

i've been to the dentist's today..

4 fillings, ouch... two on the bottom 8's, one on top left 5, one top right 4....

trouble was, there is only a certain amount of the anesthesia the doc can use in injection (btw. i think it's novocaine?) -- so he had to split the two doses for these all four teeth, and, frankly, one half of an injection for each wasn't enough well.. at least not for the two 8's... anyway, i survived the pain for two minutes, and now i just suffer the pain of where the needle came in my tissue, 4 times so, three more days and i'm completely out of it, with at least another year of no worrying about my teeth... i hope

I'm very afraid of going to the dentist's, and stories like these don't help

Also, way to go, saving up all those holes to be treated on one visit

yup. i have to go again. well the injection seems resonable, compared to the pain i had to go through last year.

novocaine? i thought that also comes in pills...well, i hope the 2 fillings i need won't be much trouble. they're on adiacent teeth.

well one cavity is right between 2 teeth. so is that 3 fillings?

darn it....

i have to go. i'm scared. lasst time it was a check. now, it's for real...again. i got one fixed then (it was minor). 3 more to go....
