Even tho' I think Valentine's day is a silly thing, i still went to the flower shop to get a rose and a chocolate for the girl i'm currently trying to see if there could be a relationship with..
probably because i told her i wanted to give her at least something little, she got me this :

maybe cute, but also silly.. everyone's giving these things today.. it's so consume, and i hate when something is like what other people are/get/have  i have to be original as much as i can, you know
anyway, no that's not my laptop, that's still pending, just one more week... this thing is my inkjet printer, 920c...
(and for the record, hp laptops aren't so cool.. the ones that seem well priced suck, and those that don't suck don't have better prices then others... i'm getting this..., just with Celeron-M cpu instead of Pentium M.. still, it's basically centrino design..)

make sure you do some war chalking once you get your new gear.
personally i find it pretty cool to mark spots with chalk when they have unprotected wireless LAN.
unfortunatly i don't have a laptop of my own, so i depend on some friends to show up with their gear.
it's still fun though

you know, i already used to go around trying warchalking with my pda, it's got wifi too..
however, there are not many unprotected wifi networks these days, in fact, there are too many wifi networks here in czech republic, cause it's usually the cheapest way to get connected to the net.. the regular cable connection, like ADSL costs too much, and has got lot of crazy limits, like bandwidth, or agregation of 1:50 on a 512kbps line :/
i myself too am connected thru wifi for 3 years already..
and with all this, since wifi is cheap, lot of ISPs try to provide connection with wifi, therefore, as a result, the air is pretty noised up by all of them, and it won't take much longer till ou won't be able to get a decent connection thru air because there is simply too many networks around..
anyway, i got it for connecting at school, for a little bit of money, i get like 100MBit connection (ok, 11mbit on wifi, but 100Mbit if i use wire on some reserved sockets in school), so that's gonna rock finally

over here banks and restaurants have wireless, for sure. i got 8 unprotected in my neighbourhood. the banks have insane protection though. resturants are easy.
and many people have that around here too. i got the cable.

heh, here in czech rep. if there is a wifi in a restaurant, for a hotspot, you have to pay for it before you can sign in somehow.. anyway it's mostly just McDonalds or KFC places..
there's only two places I know of, that provide free net publicly like this around here...

there's this restaurant here, called rio, they have PDAs ot take commands. now that's just overdoin' it! but bey, the whole appartament block gets free internet. pretty fast too. somebody chalked it, but now that it's been there for 2 years+ some guys want to spray paint the sign.
