i started at brown ion mainly in the dxmp forum as Maverick

Never posted at Ion. I came from Eidos boards. My nick there was the same as my nick here use to be: DaedalusXXX.

I joined in early December of 2000, just days after first installing and utterly enjoying DXMP. Huh, Mav?

well, I got Deus Ex on 00/11/04, but started playing on 05.. and found out my comp is incredibly out of date anyway, even with a terrible fps count (sometimes like 3 fps when a big fight started), i managed to get to Hong Kong, wanchai market and the quests there..

then I bought a new vidcard, TNT2 Pro, pretty expensive those days, although GeForce2 was the new top branch at that time..

so thruout december I played it finally running very nice and smooth

anyway i started trying DXMP out just two days after it has gone out, although i was afraid 33.6 kbps modem won't do... but it did do

about the ISBB forums, well, i can't certainly say which exact day it was when I joined in, all i know is, it was somewhen around 15. november 2000... i was wondering what nick to use, if my usual BladeRay, but being influenced by DX so much at the time, i've chosen to short it out to B.R. and add Denton...

so, around DX and DXMP, B.R.Denton has always been my nick

anyway as time ran, i got used to being called BR, so i use it as base of my nick now, and usually loose the denton again...

well and then it was all time of playing DXMP a lot, paying high phone bills (damn the internet costs so much in here on dialup), and also later on I started mapping, oh yeah, i know, the DXMP_PowerPlant map never got finished, it got stuck at almost a release level.. dunno why, but it's been so long it doesn't matter now i guess... but I used to enjoy it a lot, i remember spending 12 hours a day mapping or even more when I had the time..

okay, i'm being to talkative again i guess let's wrap this up for today, i'm going to sleep..

not necessarily, i mean, it depends on how it's used to be in your locality..

here in czech republic, the date is oficially in format dd.mm.yyyy

but i just like to use this more logical and computer-like version, going from longest time unit to the shortest one..

so yyyy/mm/dd is the way to go
