we've got nothing like this 'spring break' like you do there in america, so i dunno what to say..
or to correct myself, on elementary and high school, we get a week off in the spring which we call 'spring holiday' -- however that was about two weeks ago for all the kids..
anyway, now on college, there's nothing like that, so right now i have a semester in progress, some of the mid-time exams to see if we did learn anything in the few weeks already gone, are scheduled for the week after the next one, the last of march and first of april.. so we shall see whether i make it all fine or not
anyway, time for a night movie, and sleep.. i'm dead tired after this week as usual..

Taking it easy, sleep in, not catch up on my reading, put in some hours at my part-time job, work on some school related projects, stay up late, dedicate some serious time to gaming, for a change
In other words:

no thanks, i've been working last week, helping a friend with a translation of user's manual to some silly game, Master of Orion 3... i gotta tell ya, never saw worse english for translating to czech..
anyway, i got pretty good money from that, so no job needed for me now
but still, i told him, if he ever needed this kind of help again, i'm usually free and willing to work like this ...
afterall, i can't think of any job that would not digust me and give me this good money at the same time..

- What kind of job are you looking for, Sir?
- Something that won't disgust me and makes good money.

With that kind of work ethic, the sky is the limit for you

Got three weeks 'off'. All work and no play though, that time of the year for me when all the important assignments gotta be finished and exams have to be studied for.
OK OK I'll fit some gaming in for sure.

well, on the other hand, life seems to throw good and bad together to keep it balanced...
dad's been sick for more than a week now, can't barely walk on his own how dizzy he is, and today, they sent him to the hospital..
first part-diagnosis we heard now was an extremely bad case of pneumonia, however, he's also pretty yellowish, even his eye's where they're supposed to be white, so who knows what else it'll be :/

Hope he gets better soon BRD
A quick search.

yeah, we hope too.. so far the doctors said only something that this kind of state, that he is in, is at least for few weeks of staying in hospital.. and don't make me tell you how my dad hates doctors and hospitals
anyway, thanks for the link, but we've got enough info already..

didn't realize it had been so long since i'd checked in. BR, i hope your dad is doing better. i'm sorry to hear he was so sick.
HUGS!!!!!!! hon.

well, he's been in the hospital for a week now, and looks much better... as far as we know from what the doctors say, if he hadn't gone to the hospital, he could have been dead by now :/
still, it got much better, he gets antibiotics thru infusion twice a day, but he the pneumonia he has is really an extremely bad case, and he's got some pouches of water or something in his chest, that's taking up space for his lung, which can't expand enough when he's breathing.. at least the doctor said something like this..
he also said that a condition like this is for at least 6 months to recover... that is not very good, cause my dead is extremely stubborn and doesn't want to spend time in hospital, today he was saying he's going home a week later.. (he doesn't know what the doctor told us, it's a friend, not his assigned doctor..) ..
well, we'll see how it works out in time..
oh and for other news, i've got all mid-semester tests finished, math worked out fine, i passed, management should be 90-100% even though we didn't get the results yet.. spanish wasn't bad but not great either, i'd expect it at about 60% (translations got me, i didn't study the vocabulary much ), and yesterday was a test from accounting, and that wasn't bad either, so i'm pretty fine with school now i guess..

i'm glad to hear the school stuff is going so well. but really sorry about your dad still being so sick. and i know how stubborn men can be sometimes. i hope you're all able to convince him he needs to stay put until his doctor is comfortable with letting him go. besides which, over here if you leave without the dr's ok, the insurance won't cover it. tell him that. it may keep him put.
but 6 months recovery. wow that's a long time. you're going to have your hands full when he gets home. trying to make him follow dr's orders. i know how my dad would have been geez.
anyway, HUGS!!! hon. best of luck to all of youl
