How are they decided? Are they picked from a list compiled by members? How do members decide on a new book? From something they've read? Or from Pulitzer Prize winners? Or word of mouth? It looks like Shipping News has gone bust so I'd like to find out where you all are headed next. TIA.

We don't really have any rule. We make suggestions and then vote. How I found suggestions was I went on the iBistro library catalog (check your library card for the address). On the home page you can look at lists of books that won certain awards or made it to bestseller lists n' stuff. I started another thread with suggestions; I'll see if I can find it and bump it so you can add your own if you want or vote on the ones there. It's about time we did another one anyway.
