Hellsing meets Last Exile?(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

That's what GONZO's new show Trinity Blood seems to be.
Watching the first ep now.

The art looks cool, but since I can't read a word on that site, could you explain the Hellsing connection?
I have also yet to see an episode of Last Exile, but I want to.

Actually, after seeing the first episode it's really a mix of a lot of cliches. Vampires, Post-apocolyptic world, airships, aliens, the Vatican as a major power....
The Hellsing connections are REALLY apparent in the first episode as the main character is a type of vampire who feeds on other vampires.
First ep was interesting to say the least. I'm giving it a few eps before I make a judgement, though.

Yeah, Hellsing meets Last Exile with a dash of Trigun tossed in for the main character.
So far, I'm liking it.
Which sub did you see, RS?

Throw in some of the more flamboyant clothing of Ragnarok Online and that's how I see it.

quote: Trinity Blood, tells the history of a world devastated by Armaggedon, where an endless war exists between humans and vampires.
Then, with the intention of protecting the humanity, Vatican designates a special agent, Abel Nightlord, that actually is also a vampire, and that with the youth Esther, will combat the creatures of the night.
(based on the manga by Yoshida Nao)

W-Dreamers. Not always the most flowing but accurate enough so it can be understood.
Between this, Speed Grapher and Gunbuster 2 I have enough to watch.

the [Mahou] sub is out. snagging it, but haven't seen it to compare yet.
I'm trying to decide what to keep up with this season. I've already dropped Tsubasa Chronicles as I see it as another Naruto, or Inu Yasha (will go forever).
I'm probably going to keep Speed Grapher, Sousei no Aquarion (for now at least), Yakitate!! Japan, and Trinity Blood

WTF is Yakitate!! Japan?
/edit : Trinity Blood si teh very kewl
Posted by: PlasmaSamurai
quote: Yakitate means "fresh baked", but the word "Japan" is actually a pun - pan means bread in Japanese, so Kazuma is out to make Japan, a unique Japanese bread to compete with the best bread from around the world!
Azuma become obsessed with bread when he was six years old. His sister yelled that their family should start having bread for breakfast sometimes, but their grandfather refused to even consider it, as he would only eat natto, miso soup, and rice for breakfast. Kazuma agreed, saying he didn`t like bread, but his sister kidnaps him and takes him to a bread store to show him the wonders of fresh-baked bread. Not only is Kazuma converted, but the owner discovers that Kazuma has the magical "Hands of the Sun" whose warmth makes them particularly suited to making bread. The owner packs up shop and goes to Tokyo to fulfill his dream of making Japan, but Kazuma continues his bread-baking dream as well, and ends up going to Tokyo himself when he`s sixteen, to compete for a spot at the foremost bread store in Japan - Pantasia!

Some of the most outrageous tasting scenes out there (the sheer corniness makes it great , imagine a positive version of those fugly closeups of GTO faces).

Yakitate!! Japan > *
Baking bread has never been this funny =P

Just finished episode 3. So far, I'm really enjoying this series.

I like the show so far, but I'm hoping it starts some more character development (and get some reoccuring side characters)
I like Tres and Abel, but the cast needs someone a bit more moderate between them.

Face it, the more you watch anime the more you realise how generic and shit it actually is I've been watching it for ten years now, and in that time I've seen so much I can't remember all of it even. And the more you watch, the more you realise that its' all just being rehashed and repackaged. Doesn't stop me from enjoying Trinity Blood, but it does make me appreciate Speed Grapher and GTO more

If it will help, you get to see a lot less of it when you ACTUALLY PAY FOR IT.

How am I supposed to do that when it's not licenced or released overseas? And what the fuck has that even got to do with the point dean made?

What the fuck has that to do with anything, you can easily order R1 dvds. I know of atleast 3 places in Holland that have quite an anime catalog, even if 2 of those usually don't have everything in storage. and then there are a shitload of comicbook stores who sell them. The not available excuse died 5 years ago, stop living in the past.

I'm talking about shows airing in Japan you moron
And again, this is stupid, since it has nothing to do with Deans point. It's jsut you going off on another anti-piracy tirade
