Why is that the forumers I enjoy debating in these endless, pointless political threads eventually morph from intelligent, reasonable individuals with challenging viewpoints into childish, name-calling, intellectually-dishonest flametards?

I'll blame video games.  
Basically, Most the youngins' are ADHD and it's inevitable the conversation shall morph.
Not saying that the older crowd isn't, But we didn't have the ' label ' on us growing up.
