Ugh...I can't believe I ate the whole thing.

Inane, repetitive dialog. Horribly unrealistic gun battles, and not unrealistic in a good way.

And one of my most hated anime cliches, where someone constantly repeats what is said to him/her, but questioning and halted.

Person A: We've got to go the ballroom!

Person B: We've....got to go...to the ballroom?

I had that on my list of things to watch when nothing else was available... Guess I'll move it into the "things to watch when absolutely nothing else is available" pile.

You can throw Madlax into that mix (same director & character designer for both)

Not exactly a fan of it either.

Also I'd avoid Gunslinger Girl(s?) It's terrible.

I was intrigued by it up through about episode 9 or 10. Then I went and didn't bother paying much attention to 'em after that. Noir was 26 episodes of something that I wanted to like, but never could. While the main mystery did get solved, the show was slow, the action scenes were too repetitive, and the characters got to be annoying after a while. It's also why I avoided the latest from this creative team, Madlax (or, as I call it, "Noir, rev 2". )

Mezzo DSA was much better, in my opinion.
