I'm guessing by "OK'ed" you mean "straight to banned before email confirmation" 
FYI: the forum shows new members at the top immediately after they signup... regardless of confirmation status.

Really? So even if you decline them (or whatever it's called), it still shows them as being a new member? That's odd.
I've never really noticed that many obvious spammer names, seems like they'd pop up more often.
