Finished season 3 last night, and I can only assume there will be no season 4. Awesome series, one of the best I've seen. I do wish the ending went down a little differently.

I think it would have been better if Light had succeeded in taking Near with him.

I didn't care for it. Stopped watching as soon as Near came into the picture.

I'll agree that the 3rd season was the worst of the bunch, but I think it was still good, certainly better than most.
I think it would have been better if they could have kept Ryuuk as more of a central character. He really trails off.

I was really into it thru season 1. I may go back and force myself to finish it off just so I can say I watched it all.

Ryuuk and the apple thing was a stroke of brilliance, I thought. It was the addition of the second death note and the flip-flopping about that ensued that made it jump the shark for me. It was supposed to be an extreme rarity for something like this to happen, and suddenly there are two?? Cmon. |
