it looks like the owner of tournament.com sold the domain name to someone else
the someone else somehow pissed off the former t.com community but I am not sure why

It's not nearly as interesting as you'd think.
The guy who started T.Com is, so far as I'm aware, doing fine but has moved on to bigger and better things.
