HAhaha. I had several games already written up to post, and Firefox shit a brick.
That'll show me! Writing this up now in Notepad. Lets hope Window's doesn't crash first....
I found 2 games I liked and wanted to post, then started going through some TV sites, to see what games certain TV shows had up. Some have some nice games, like Chuck. Some, on the other hand.... well, I guess at least they try, right?
The 2 I had wanted to post, mainly, were these:
Hex Empire, another Risk clone.
http://www.cafecafegames.com/games/1415/hex-empire.html
No dice here, no cards, no trading them in.
You do have armies that build up over time, and can merge, and have attack/defense.
That attack/defense determines who wins each battle, so there is no chance, no luck, just straight numbers.
Then, there's Knight Fall.
http://armorgames.com/play/3273/knightfall
Its base is like Same game, where you have to click on a series of 3 or more blocks (all touching).
However, this time, you are a knight, you hve to find a key in each level, remove the blocks between you and the key,
then remove the blocks between you and the exit door, and leave.
However, you have limited health, and limited turns. You can go beyond the turns, however, but LOTS of monsters show up.
Otherwise, there are a few here and there. If they are above or next to you, they can attack. If they are below,
You drop on them with your drill, and skewer their brains out.
Now, for the games from TV stations...
For Fox, there are a few Family Guy games that have been made....
http://www.americandadvsfamilyguy.com/
http://flashgamesite.com/play1129game.html
Those are both fighting games. Beat up other characters, Street Fighter style!
OK, so that last one doesn't look that official.
Then there's Family Guy Save the Couch, from the Star Wars parody.
http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=27074
The game is kind of annoying, what with the characters blocking half the screen.
I mean they want you to avoid the storm troopers shooting at you, but then they don't. Bah.
There used to be an interesting point and click/escape the room game for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
The game was sponsored by Cisco, and put up on Fox's website. Of course, its down now. :\
http://www.fox.com/terminator/cisco/ Just forwards to the main SCC page.
Well, here's a game from the CW show Supernatural.
http://voxcast.oyunlar1.com/games/4111.swf
"Devil's Gate Game" where you click on little Devil's Gate symbols, in essence shooting them.
Seems to have little if anything to do with the show, besides naming the symbols "Devil's Gate" symbols.
What are you shooting with? Shotguns with rock salt? Who knows.
Here's another shooting game from the CW. This time you play Green Arrow, shooting your bow at random targets.
http://www.cwtv.com/thecw/smallville-oliver-queen-game
There are some matching games, some games for the girlie shows. And something for Reaper, which I don't watch.
For NBC's America's Got Talent, they made a Whack A Mole, where you can hit the judges as they pop their head up.
http://www.nbc.com/Americas_Got_Talent/games/
For NBC's American Gladiators, you can play as a contestant and see how you do against the Gladiators.
http://www.nbc.com/American_Gladiators/games/
There are 3 areas to compete, Hit & Run, Pyramid, and The Wall.
For NBC's Chuck, there are plenty of games. http://www.nbc.com/Chuck/games/index.shtml
You have a Zork styled text game, you have a driving game to service people's computers around town,
you have a sniper game, AND MORE!
If you like Frogger, you'll enjoy Friday Night Light's rendition,
http://www.nbc.com/Friday_Night_Lig...all/index.shtml
where the frog is a running back, and you have to dodge the other teams defense to score.
Or maybe you prefer Charlie Crews on Life, the kooky detective show.
http://www.nbc.com/Life/games/detec...ash/index.shtml
Play as Charlie Crew's disembodied head, crossing a street full of big cars, big dogs, and HUGE cell phones.
Maybe you heard Knight Rider, the remake, had been cancelled.
I guess if you wanted to try to play some of the Knight Rider games, you better do it before they remove the games.
http://www.nbc.com/Knight_Rider/games/
There is a game to jump over a certain number of parked big rigs.
http://www.nbc.com/Knight_Rider/games/KnightRacing/
Or drive KITT in a race, avoiding other cars and nasty criminals chasing you and shooting you.
I don't see it on NBC's website, but here is a game based on ER (which was meant to promote the ER PC game.)
http://www.flashrolls.com/other-gam...-Flash-Game.htm
Push around a wheel chair, and get patients to the designated areas they belong in!
While Las Vegas has been cancelled, a while ago even, they still have up 2 of the games from the Las Vegas website when it was up. BlackJack http://www.nbc.com/nbc/games/blackjack_lasvegas.shtml and video poker http://www.nbc.com/nbc/games/poker_lasvegas.shtml
(Yeah, I know I think I linked those before, but I'm doing a TV themed post, so....)
Here's a game based on The Apprentice, where you have to get to the top floor, and avoid other people.
http://www.nbc.com/nbc/The_Apprenti...tice_game.shtml
Heres a game from The Apprentice Los Angelos. Not sure if its autorized or not, but here it is.
http://www.gamesforwork.com/games/p...Flash_Game.html
I don't know the exact type of game you'd call it, I say its a management sim, where you have to serve people and satisfy them, make them happy, manage things, whatever. In this one, you run a restaurant (waitress it) and have to serve people that come to sit and order food.
Here's another, Apprentice and Dairy Queen.
http://www.freeonlinegames.com/rpg-...airy-queen.html
Same thing, but now you are making ice creams and deserts.
Here's a version of Deal or No Deal from NBC.
http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/game/flash.shtml
Here's another, one that I peronsally like better.
http://flashgamesite.com/play1079game.html
It adds in a bit more drama, it even opens up each case for you. I've spent a while wasting time with it.
What about ABC?
http://abc.go.com/community/index?pn=games#t=0
There are a few personality quizes, some fantasy challenges, America's Funniest Video's "Guess the body part that will get hit - head, gut, or groin."
ABC seems to have done the least on the game front.
CBS has a website set up just for its games, but it seems just random games, not much to do with its shows.
Here's Poker, but the card backs just show cbsgames. http://www.cbsgames.com/games/play/Poker/play
Here;s Skeeball, again with 2 advertisements, and a big CBS GAMES on it, but nothing about any show.
http://www.cbsgames.com/games/play/Skeeball/play
Some games, like this Freecell, have some day time soap stars as the Jack/King/Queen, which is nice.
http://www.cbsgames.com/games/play/Freecell/play
And another here: http://www.cbsgames.com/games/play/Spider/play
The Bold and the Beautiful, As The World Turns, each seems to have its own deck of cards.
Of course the kids programming/networks have lots of games.
http://www.4kids.tv/games
(there are some games from DiGata, TMNT, Batman, Biker Mice from Mars, Chaotic, Kirby, YuGiOh, Sonic, and more.)
http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/games/
(Games from Royal Rumble, Ben10, Batman, Scooyb Doo, Clone Wars, Pokemon, Transformers Animated, Tom & Jerry, Teen Titans, Samurai Jack, and More)
http://www.kidswb.com/games/
(Games from Scooby Doo, Bugs Bunny, Batman, The Flintstones, Teen Titans, Jetsons, and more!)
Dunno why I even posted any of the TV show games. Most of them you'd probably pass on. With some of the other content in this thread, I wish some of the TV stations might opt to grab some good talent for some nice slick games.
Like with what was done with Mirrors Edge, and its transition into a very VERY cool 2D flash game. I know, its not a TV show, but it shows what a good game a property can be turned into.
However, you look at a cop show like Life, or CSI, or Law & Order, and you wonder what kind of "casual" game (like bejeweled) you could make out of those, especially interesting or compelling ones.
At least some of the cartoon games, like Batman, do some justice to the properties they use.
