Intel Skulltrail mobo announced; 8 cores, dumb name
The Intel 'Skulltrail' motherboard (AKA Intel Dual Socket Extreme Platform--*sigh* ) debuted at GDC today to much fanfare and wailing of wallets. The motherboard supports 2 quad-core processors, dual graphics cards (of both the ATI and nVidia varieties,) has a 400MHz frontside bus and will retail for an eye-watering $649. Ouch.
